Home Visits & Test Result

Home Visits

If someone is too ill to attend the surgery a home visit by a Doctor or a District Nurse can be arranged. Please telephone the surgery before 12.00 pm if you think a home visit may be necessary. The Doctor will ring you back to make an assessment of your needs and arrange the most appropriate visit or therapy.

Test Results

If a test or investigation has been arranged for you by the surgery you will be contacted in the event that the result requires any further action. Normal results will not be routinely reported back to the patient but you can telephone the Practice for tests results if you are concerned. Please telephone for results after 10.00 am at Sturry Surgery and 14.00 pm at Canterbury Health Centre. Please allow 7 working days from the date of the test for blood tests and 14 days for X-rays and scans. To maintain confidentiality the results will only be given to the patient, a nominated individual with written authority from the patient or to persons with parental responsibility for those under 16.
