Appointments
If you need to see a member of the Health Care Team please contact Reception at the site you are registered with and you will be offered a consultation time. If you are registered for our online services you can also book your appointments, order repeat prescriptions and view medical records online.
If you have not yet registered you can sign up to the service by printing a registration form HERE or picking one up from the surgery. This will need to be taken to reception at your usual surgery along with some photographic identification such as your passport or drivers licence, and proof of address such as a bank statement or utility bill that is under 3 months old. you will then be sent your login details.
We aim to provide the majority of these consultations on the same day that you call. This may be a face to face consultation in the surgery, or if more appropriate, a telephone consultation. These enable the
Doctors and Nurses to help you with some problems or queries without you having to attend the surgery. The Receptionist will take your name, a contact number and a brief message. The Doctor or Nurse will then call you back.
NB. Please ensure you are available to take the call. We will not be able to return the call if the number given bars anonymous calls.
In order to allow patients to be seen on the same day whenever possible, most appointments to see a doctor can only be made on the day. However, a proportion of the appointments may be booked up to one month in advance. Please ask Reception Staff for availability.
Patient's Responsibilities
If you cannot keep an appointment please let the surgery know as soon as possible, preferably in the morning to enable us to offer the appointment to someone else.
Please arrange a separate appointment for each person who needs to be seen.
Cancel An Appointment?
If you are not able to keep your appointment please call 01227 710372 (Sturry) or 01227 452444 (Canterbury) and cancel as soon as possible: someone else may need to see the doctor urgently.
